Toronto North CAER Association

We were formed in 1997 and consist of a group of industrial and emergency services companies and City of Toronto Emergency Responders. Our geographical area covers the old cities of York and North York. 

CAER stands for “Community Awareness and Emergency Response”. This association has two purposes:

1. Minimize the risk in emergency situations and ensure that any response is effective in protective the community and our employees. We do this by sharing information, skills and experience through sharing safe practices, providing training, assisting with emergency planning and participating in emergency simulations.

2. Educate our neighbors about the risk of manufacturing, distributing, storing, transporting and using hazardous materials and products. Initiatives such as this web site are designed to help keep our community informed.
